Trenches

In world war 1 solders had to live in trenches. they could not sleep at night. they had to stay alert at 8.30 and 5.30. then in the middle of the day the soldiers  could  play cards. Rats  could be found in trenches as well.some soldiers got there legs chopped of because of a sickness called trench foot.
