Anzac, World War One

100 years ago New Zealand was apart of a massive war in 1915

Let's start writing
So 100 years ago New Zealand and Australian soldiers were trained for, four months.
They were getting ready for a hard challenge of war against the Turks at Gallipoli for 8 months.
The poor soldiers were living in trenches that had rats, mud and more. There was also
A disease named Trench foot, many soldiers got the disease but sadly their feet were
Chopped off.Everyday the soldiers would battle at about five o'clock in the morning. Some
Soldiers would play cards in the trenches and one soldier standing there watching out for enemies.
What was funny is that when a soldier ran with a hospital flag in the middle of the battle ground he would talk to the general and he would say "can we clean up our soldiers bodies In five minutes." A white flag is a sign of saying surrender. Some animals like Dogs, Cats, Donkeys, and horses were used as animal mascots In World War One. Many Australian New Zealand soldiers were killed in Gallipoli in World War One.
